Letter of the week

Eden's new "school" has a letter of the week each week.  Every day they are supposed to come in with a word that starts with that letter.  This week, the letter is "B".  So last night Christian and I bombarded her with words every time we thought of one.  She seemed excited about a few of them, but seemed super excited about the word bakery.  She and daddy share a special time, often on Saturday mornings when they go to the bakery in Lexington to get special breads and things.  Inevitably, Eden comes home with something sweet.  Since she seemed excited about bakery, we repeated this one for her to share tomorrow at school.  

This morning upon arriving at school, Miss Gail asked Eden "Do you have your B word today?"  Eden's eyes brightened and she smiled and raised her eyebrows and said "Yes", nodding her head excitedly.  "Well keep it a secret until it's time to share.  Don't tell anybody. "OK", Eden whispered, still smiling.  Christian knealt down and said "Eden, why don't you whisper it to Daddy.  I wanna see which word you remembered."  Eden smiled a proud smile and leaned in, eyes gleaming to whisper "Elephant!" Christian contained his laughter and said, "Well, remember that's an E word.  Last week was E.  This week we have a new letter, B.  Do you remember some of your B words we talked about last night?"  Eden nodded, but gave no response.  Christian then whispered, "Bakery".  Her eyes lit up again and whispered, "Yeah, bakery!"
