Good Morning!

It isn't often that my girls are early risers.  I'd like to be able to say I have some magic potion for wooing them to rest or go to bed, but I think I've just been blessed with two little girls that like sleep as much as their parents.  Praise the Lord!  Of the two, Eden is my earliest riser, but we've worked out a small agreement that she isn't to be up out of bed until the sun's up.  I figure that's pretty fair and she seems to do fine with that...usually.  Most mornings one of them wakes and then I can ear them on the monitor talking to one another.  Usually, quite peacefully and they'll sometimes even babble themselves back to sleep in the wee hours of the morning if I give them a few minutes. 

This morning, however was different.  I awoke to the sound of their sweet little voices sounding less than sweet at 5:12am.  I began hearing Isla first and could hear her talking to Eden.  I wasn't too alarmed and tried tell myself opening my eyes wasn't worth it -- if I closed them tight enough and just hung on a few minutes...they'd drift back off to sleep. 

I wasn't so lucky.  Shortly thereafter I heard Isla in her broken language saying "No! No!  Mine!"  I immediately knew that Eden was up. 

I go into the room, glance at Eden's bed to see a clump of covers that looks like her still snuggled up underneath them.  "Hmm, Isla must have dropped something out of her crib, " I thought to myself.  The room was kind of cool and I flipped off the overhead fan as I headed towards Isla's crib in the dark.  I lean over to see what was going on to find not only Isla, but Eden lying in her crib!  They were snuggled together, lying underneath the covers and had them pulled to the tippy tops of their noses.  It was too cute to get mad over.  Instead, I scooped them both up and piled them into our bed, where we spent the next hour and half keeping Christian awake with their squeals, giggles, wiggling, and talking.  

As much as I would have liked a little more sleep...those little boogers were worth the sleep lost.  :)
