A little update!

Hard to keep up with our little family!  I wish I remembered to update more and I know I'll feel even more so when these precious days are gone and my little girls are all grown up.  :0)  They're growing and changing as fast as lightning!

Eden...
She's using big grown up words like "exactly" and "conversation" and is sounding awfully bossy these days.  I have to say, I believe I may be feeling my mother's pains...just a little.  So, Mom if you're reading...you'll find just a tinge of fulfillment in these words.  All those days when you wanted to pull your hair out with me and you were thinking "oh one day, you'll understand"...I UNDERSTAND!  I often pray to the Lord and tell him I've learned my lesson, but he has a good sense of humor and maybe I haven't learned all there is just yet! LOL!  Mom used to say that I would cry and watch myself in the mirror.  *blush*  I might have (or have had) a flair for drama.  Well little Eden has now started something where when she's disciplined, if she's particularly upset by the punishment she'll run to her room, lie on her bed and cry "why, oh why?!"  Picture a small child in painful tears crying out to God...Yep, that's her.  If you walked in, you'd think she'd lost the world.  Nope, just the privilege of a tv show or maybe dessert.  lol Poor girl, I know all too well the dramatic emotions she's yet to encounter.  :0)

She's also relishes in telling knock-knock jokes.  Can't tell you how many times I've heard this one...

Eden: Knock-Knock
Me: Who's there?
Eden: Interrupting Cow!
Me: Interrupting...(she cuts me off)
Eden: MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There are several versions.  She likes to mix it up and put in different animals too, which is at the very least, innovative?  Creative?  Yeah, she's talented.  :)

She's also taken a liking to calling Christian by his first  name.  "No...don't tickle her, Christian!" or "You're teasing me, Christian!"  Seems to only be when she's angry with him.  You can't help but think that's cute.

Oh and then there's the dancing.  Seems that Aunt Alex and Hannah have been teaching her some dance moves.  She's continually doing the now infamous "bomboss dance".  In case you don't know, our family uses the word "bomboss" instead of bottom or butt.  You can only imagine the dance...and if you can imagine Aunt Alex is totally and completely responsible.  Wonder if she'll put THAT on her resume!  lol!  Eden also thinks up dances and incorporates karate sound effects, zumba moves, and facial expressions that could only come directly from my gene pool.  Poor girl.  She is SHAMELESS on when and where she'll bust into dance including, but not limited to Applebee's just tonight.  She thought the booth was the perfect dance stage and didn't have a iota of thought as to who might be looking.  Not that she would have seen them anyway...those dance faces often require eyes shut! LOL.  I'll have to post a video one day.  I know for certain Aunt Alex has one on her phone...only more proof that she encourages the behavior!

Isla...

Oh my goodness that girl is soooo stinkin' cute.  I'm not bias or anything.  :0)  She's learning what "no" means and will tell it to you with purpose!  Most importantly, she's learned to tell Eden no!  She's now caught on to Eden's "big sister love" and will grasp things in such a way so that Eden can't pull them away.  She now knows how to jerk away, squeal at high pitches, and run if necessary to avoid Eden's wrath.  She has, however become best friends with Daisy.  She'll randomly come up to Daisy and snuggle her, pat her, and kiss her.  All while saying "awwwww Day-dee".  VERY cute, if I do say so myself.  :)

She has figured out that if she screams or squeals loud enough or long enough about the living room gate being up, we'll cave and let her in the kitchen.  She seems to have been broken of the habit of trying to eat the dog's food (finally!) and overturn the dog's water.

Her current big obsession is ELMO.  He's the best in her eyes.  She loves him and really shows a fondness for the show and anything he's involved with.  She got two tiny stuffed Elmos for Christmas and thankfully there are two of them because she packs one to bed with her lovie nearly every night.

Poor girl has been cutting her molars in the back for the last few weeks and so she's extra drooly.  She's learned how to drink out of a straw and is saying more and more words.

She's saying "down" and "up" and knows which she wants and when!  One of her new favorite words is apple, which she seems to be saying quite clearly even though she's not very fond of their texture.  I keep trying them with her, but every time I put them on her tray she'll pick one up and hand it to me.  When I extend my hand to take it she places it in my hand and says "no" while shaking her head no vigorously.  c.u.t.e. :)

She's now walking better and better and has moved on to running full force.  She's just in general a busy girl.  :)

That's all for now...back to the accounting!!  Got to get some W2's done!
