"The Tinkerbell Chair"
Eden has a small table and chair set that my mom got her last Christmas. She eats at it a lot and does coloring and other activities. It stays in the living room as it's a must have for breakfast in the mornings while watching cartoons. So today we were home sick and I fixed her lunch. I told her she could eat at her Tinkerbell table and that we'd "share some mini corndogs for lunch". I cooked the mini corndogs, fixed her plate and fixed mine and then we began eating. She sat down at her table, but wasn't there long before she must have had a revelation. She got up and came over to me quietly and said, "Mama, I thought you were gonna share with me!" I tried explaining to her that we had 'shared' because I fixed lots of the mini corndogs and she ate some and I ate some. It was completely lost on her as she looked at my empty plate grumpily and said "No, you didn't share with me". I kinda chuckled, as I guess she was right.
Later she was coloring at her table when she came over and said, "Mama, do you wanna sit wif me?" I said, "Oh, babe...I don't think so. The tinkerbell chairs aren't for big people. They aren't for grown-ups". She looked at me very confused and said "But Daddy sits in them". I replied the only way I knew how, "Daddy's brave". She shrugged her shoulders and patted me on my knee as if to feel sorry for me as she asked "And you're not brave?" I said, "Yeah, Mama's not brave."
A picture of the chair is below...
