Eden and Isla were in the bathtub this morning since we had a late night last night for them. They were happily playing with Eden's tea set when Eden scooped up a cupful of bubbles and said "Mama, would you like a bubble milkshake?" I thought I was being funny when I replied "No thanks, I'm watching what I eat. I'm trying to get skinny, remember?" I even winked to add to the fun. She got a disappointed look on her face and said "Well you don't look very skinny right now." Wow...how do I respond to that? I began to tell her how that wasn't very nice, when she quickly chimed in "Maybe you could use the wishing well?"
Wow, how I wish I could use the wishing well, kiddo. LOL
Parenting lesson of the day: Teach kindness in words and watch less fairy tale-esk stories.
