Someday...

"Someday is the most dangerous word in the English language" ~ Missy Cheeseman-Rogers

Awesome sermon this evening at Crossroads Christian Church.  Hopefully in the coming days, they'll post the sermon here like they normally do.  It was a good one.  The entire series has actually been an awesome.  I love how they're posting devotions to go along with the series!  (Even if I haven't taken advantage of them all!)  I love being able to refocus for the week that lies ahead.

With sweet Isla's 2nd birthday coming this week, I can't help but feel sentimental and gooey inside.  Tonight's message really spoke to that parent inside me that sometimes says "Someday I'd like to_____ with the girls" or "Someday I want to ______ for the girls" or "Someday when we're ______, we'll do _____ ".  I cringe to think that I could miss a moment of their precious little lives that have been given to me by God for such a short sweet time.  If I didn't fully appreciate just how almighty and sovereign He IS...the fact that He has entrusted me with these beautiful girls might be on the list of the things that "make you go Hmph".  :0)  For whatever reason, I know that I'm better for it.

I'm praying tonight that I seize each day, each moment with them and that I don't use 'someday' as a dirty word.  Can't believe almost 2 years ago we welcomed our tiniest princess.

Caught this sweet pic of the two of us on my cell phone camera just before bedtime and touched it up a little.
