Quick Update

The weather gives you hope of a warmer tomorrow, doesn't it?!  The temperatures are so nice that it makes any worry go away!  ahhhhh

Isla had her 18 month check-up today.  Shew-wee.  Can't believe she's already that big.  She's still on the very bottom of the growth chart...in the 25th percentile for height, 5th percentile for weight.  Poor skinny girl.  We did get a referral to endocrinology because shes' so small and not growing a lot.  She did grow some, which made me happy.  I guess we shall see what that appointment brings.  I try to keep calm about the whole growing situation.  Nothing like losing your cool to really get yourself all worked up.  She wasn't a preemie...technically, but she did have IUGR and was only 4.5lbs when she was born.  So part of me feels like she's still catching up from living in her mother's hostile womb.  LOL  We shall see, I guess.  In the meantime, she's doing well with talking and walking and doing all the other splendidly wonderful things that 18 mo olds do.  She's still got a fond affection for Elmo, whom I guess we're going to have to start carrying around with us...as she requested him at the doctor's office and bad Mommy that I am didn't bring him.  She was walking around the tiny room with her hands up in the air going "Elmo? Elmo?"  Poor girl.  BAD Mommy!  She only had to have one shot and thankfully we had Ms. Mary (our favorite nurse) who carries a "shot blocker" with her and Isla doesn't even shed a tear or whimper over her shots!!  It's amazing and relieving all at the same time!

Hoping that the evening is going to bring a nice family walk and maybe some vegetable soup for dinner?  Seems awfully warm for veggie soup now.  haha.  That sounds funny, warm.  Like it hasn't been 20 degrees for the last 3 months! lol
