Poor 2nd babies - despite our efforts, just don't get all the hooplal that firsts do. With Eden, each month on her birthday was 'picture day'. A dear friend had given us the cutest large white stuffed bear and a 12 month scrapbook ready for monthly photos with the bear. So each month I picked the cutest outfit I could find, made sure it was properly pressed (no kidding), posed her just so, and then clicked until I got a decent shot with the bear. We're coming up on Isla's 3rd month picture and she's yet to be with that lovely bear. I'm telling myself that Isla is a different child and to avoid comparisons, nay give her some originality, the bear has not been included. It could not have been that I was too lazy to dig him out of the bottom of Eden's toy bin, right? ;) He's Eden's bear, after all.
Isla is a noisy girl. All babies have unique noises and hers are just that, unique. She is constantly grunting or squeaking, but our favorite is what we call the "hey". Just about 20-30 minutes before eating Isla will sometimes start 'talking'. Out of the clear blue you'll hear her say something that sounds an awful lot like "hey!" It's high pitched and ever-so adorable, well at least to her parents.
And then there's that look of concentration. She gets this look when she's concentrating. Her lips are pursed and her eyes wide, sometimes crossed and trying to focus on what she's looking at. She's usually slightly bobbing her head at this point too. It's awfully cute...or we think so. I'll attempt to add a photo.
Babies grow far too quickly. <3
