Sunday Cuteness

We went to Southland last night specifically because we wanted to sleep in. Ironically and in alignment with Murphy's law...both girls woke up early anyway. This morning We were watching cartoons while I was feeding Isla. Christian decided to go downstairs to start a load of laundry. Eden was engrossed in her cartoons and not paying attention until she heard the washer start. She jumped up from the couch and burst into tears screaming "I wanted to help him!". She has this new affection for helping (which we fully attempt to use to our advantage) and her newest love is laundry. She has found that she's quite good at putting things in the washer for you or simply gathering things to put in the laundry room. I'm sure this will wear off and I've avoided telling her that she's actually doing work! lol

After breakfast Christian headed outside to mow the jungle, er...I mean lawn. ;) Eden heard him outside mowing and wanted to look out the window and watch him. She had pulled up the mini blinds and stuck her head underneath them and was watching intently. I couldn't see what Christian was doing, but I hear her all of a sudden say in this very sweet voice "Oh be careful, Daddy. Be careful. Be so careful." My sweet girl. :)

Eden simply doesn't understand that Isla can't do the things she can. Just a few minutes ago we were putting Eden down for her nap when Christian said "Go and give your Mama and Isla kisses", which is part of our normal bed/nap routine to give out kisses. Eden is usually content with just kissing Isla on the head, but for some reason today was a different story. As I was (again) feeding Isla, she climbs up beside me on the couch and, turning on her sweet voice says, "Awww Isla, come eeer (here) and give me a kiss." I took the bottle from Isla who was now just playing with it and sat her up to prepare for her pucker. Eden got within centimeters of Isla's mouth and said "kiss me, go on, give me a kiss". When Isla only crossed her eyes and looked confused, Eden gave a little "Hmph" and looked and me and said "Mama her not kissing me". I laughed a little and said, "Well honey, you have to kiss her. She doesn't know how to give kisses just yet." Eden shrugged and went in for another kiss. This time putting both hands on Isla's face. Eden's little hands were cold and Isla's eyes got wide and she threw up her gangster signs (You know, that newborn startle reflex) and Eden said "Ugh, her doesn't want a kiss". I had to explain that Isla wasn't used to hands below zero and then asked if she'd simply kiss Isla on the cheek. LOL Oh Eden.
