Without a doubt, I'd love to trade places with Eden for a day. She has so few cares in the world. No money worries, no responsibilities. She wakes up to breakfast made for her, her outfit laid out for her, then she's escorted to preschool, where she's surrounded by little friends and only needs to worry about how to stay in line and which color of paint she's going to use. Ahhh to be able to do crafts and games and read stories all day! Then she comes home and has an afternoon nap. After a nap, she has a little snack prepared and then she has an array of activities to choose from. She might decide to watch a little tv, play a few games on pbskids.org, or have a playdate, go to the library, or even visit the park now that the weather is getting warmer.
I wish I could remember every second of that time in my life. So I could relish the moments that I had. We never realize just how quickly that time will pass or that we won't remember all of those memories years later. Such a special time of learning and adventure. I'd trade places with her in a heartbeat!
