This is one of my favorite pictures of my mom, Tracey. She is technically the person I've known the longest, but certainly is also the person who has gotten me through the most. She got me into this world, after all...which I hear included 2 days of walking around the hospital and praying for me to arrive. (I was only 10 days late! haha)
In all seriousness, she has gotten me through the most. She's been the ever-constant in my life. The person that has always been there, no matter what. She's the most encouraging, positive person I've ever met in my entire life. I've dubbed her "Polly-Anna" and made fun of her, but the truth is, knowingly or not, she's taught me to be Christ-like. She's super organized, enjoys craftiness, is a fan of romantic comedies, never leaves home without a salt shaker and hand sanitizer, and is a planner in the true sense of the word. She has neat hand writing, always keeps her nails nicely manicured, and is known for things like keeping a funeral file and being wildly obsessed with Dr. Dobson.
Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, she's the best mother in the world. I'll never be able to thank or repay her for all the love she's shown me, all the advice she's given me, and all the things she's done for me. I'm proud to say I'm her daughter and delighted that my girls call her "Grandy". If I'm even half the mom she's been, I'll be wonderful!
And in case you're reading, Mom...don't get a big head, there was that one time when I broke my ankle and you called me Nancy Kerrigan. LOL! Yeah...this blog's for you, Mom. I love you from the bottom of my heart!
